Description:

MAJESTIC MAERSK ( 52181 gt, 23309 nt, 49870 dwt, 294 m length, 32.2 m beam, 21.5 m depth) aground at south end of Gatun Lake in Panama Canal March 1995. With 10 tugs pulling and engine backing unable to budge from mud. 46963 kw B&W 12K90MC engine placed ahead with rudder angle finally broke her free and she refloated with no damage.
