Description:

BRITISH CURLEW, built by A.Stephen at Glasgow in 1960 for BP's subsidiary the Clyde Charter Company and transferred to direct BP ownership in 1972, was photographed by the late R.M.Parsons, probably at a South Wales port.

Sold to China in 1976 and renamed WENJIANG, she was shelled at Basrah, Iraq, on 3.10.80 and subsequently detained and abandoned. Deleted from the Register in 1992, in is reported that the hulk was towed away illegally in 2011.
