Description:

The 1962 Harland & Wolff, Glasgow, built BRITISH MERLIN was here photographed passing Hoek van Holland, outbound from Rotterdam, on 3rd July 1970.

Renamed BP ENTERPRISE between 1965 and 1968, BRITISH MERLIN was sold to the Philippine National Oil Company in 1977 and renamed LSCO BASILAN, then in 1982 PNOC BASILAN.

She suffered and explosuon and fire on 26.11.83 off La Union Province on a voyage from Manila Bay to Poro Point with a cargo of oil, kerosene and gasoline, sinking later the same day off Agoo, Luzon Island.
