Leaving Brest.
After works realized in Brest, the VN Partisan took back the sea with a helicopter platform fate to assure the deck-landing qualifications of pilots of the French Navy.
We shall also notice the installation of a set of grey containers which can shelter various premises, of which a cabin for aviation officer. This structure serves especially as module of fight in closed environment. Reproducing the bridge of a merchant ship, she will in particular allow the commando squads to train for the operations of resumption of control of a hijacked ship.
Intended to assure missions of training for the benefit of the French Navy, the VN Partisan arrived in February to Brest. She was acquired by V.Navy to the Dutch company Vroon, (ex-Vos Prince), is under British flag and with a crew of 12 French sailors. Within the framework of a service contract of one year (renewable four times), she allows to train the various units of the French fleet of surface, submarines, naval aeronautics, commando squads) so avoiding mobilizing a warship.
