Description:

Stern view of the submarine Olympus. She's tied up at Wharf 12 in Port Colborne, Canada. They're waiting for the weather to clear before proceeding. Her destination is Port Maitland where she'll be scrapped. She was laid down 4 March 1960 at Vickers-Armstrongs at Barrow and launched 14 June 1961. Olympus was sold to the Canadian Forces in 1989 and was stationed as a non-operational training boat in Halifax. The ship was never commissioned and was disposed of along with the other CF Oberon-class submarines in late 1990s.
