Thanks for all the comments & opinions about the angle :-)
I do them both when they pass plus some with surroundings. I went back to the "head-on" angle in 2011 after some years off, but think 2012 will be more head-on also now that we have passed 300 cruise calling. Many passing to try it on in 2012

Hi Tom,
Very nice shot. The Askoy bridge certainly offers fine views. The Golden does not look today as trim as she did 6 years ago. She is starting to show her age today, and some cutback in maintenance and care. You even captured the Mate on watch right in the middle of the bridge. Thank you Tom.

Any news on the cause of the Nordyls explosion and fire yet?

Very best regards,

Thanks Phil, there has to be a first time for everything. It's good to know that we can agree over some things.

Funnily enough I agree with Clive. Now there's a first !

I can see that we'll be divided by these two pictures. I certainly think that the Queen Mary picture is the better of the two. The angle is better allowing for the ripples of the water to better frame the ship.

Hello Tom
Congratulations, this picture is very good, I dare say better than the QM2.
The angle is more focused and can appreciate the deck of the ship..
See you
Juan Carlos..
