Description:
The 1951 Emden built ARCHON MICHAEL, built as REIMAR EDZARD FRITZEN and purchased by Diamantis Lemos in 1963, was photographed at Lubeck on 1st June 1975 before sailing for Hamburg where she arrived on 25th June for breaking.
ARCHON MICHAEL had earlier grounded near Nakskov on 1st May 1975 on a voyage from Visakhapatnam to Szczecin with manganese ore, presumably transiting the Great Belt rather than the Kiel Canal into the Baltic.
