Regarding Phil, Tino, Bob and Stan's comments: All well said and I am in full agreement.
However Tino says it best of all:-
"You are very kind photoshop, put your photo and we will value it."
Bravo mi amigo.
Regards, Rick

Disturbing landmarks removed add more value to a photo of a SHIP.
perhaps can Photoshop give me some advice about doing it proper, because I do it also on ocassion. If you can take the effort to make an account to make comment, perhaps you can help us out by showing us your solutions

There is no rule on this site against using Photoshop. It does not seem to occur to the contributor of that name that there might not be any "landmarks" at that particular vantage point - just open sea. I echo Tino's invitation to this rather negative-thinking smarty-pants, who seems to have joined the site just to make this comment! Let's see some of yours!

This photo is very clear, sharp and brilliantly exposed / coloured. The ship nicely dominates the frame and, overall, this is a stunning shot. I can't imagine why anyone would be so harshly critical of it. If photoshopping is not your thing, then please tell that to an appropriate photographic forum where such things are discussed at length.

the background has definitely been poorly edited/colored to remove landmarks. open the photo in full screen and you will see the borders between water and sea. not my type of photographing to make up things :( the word fraud comes to mind. doesn't deserve this number of hits.
