USS Sperry (AS-12)
decommissioned WWII submarine tender being towed by three tugs (Liberty and Marshall Foss showing on starboard side and Independence not visible in this photo on the port side) as it makes a full circle of life going to Mare Island, Vallejo, CA dismantling facility which coincidentally is the same location this ship was built and launched on December 17, 1941 right after Pearl Harbor was attacked.

Too bad, I remember Sperry being a Bremerton resident many years ago!

Thank you for this pic! My husband served aboard USS Fulton (AS-11) so SPERRY is/was our favorite remaining tender. Hope I look that good at (almost) 70!
