Many thanks for the comment, yes you are right the pylons can be a nuisance as can chimneys and cranes but they are avoidable, in this particular shot as they are clear of the ship they are not too much of a problem, also if it is misty then they tend to blend in and are not so noticeable.

A certain amount of care needs to be taken to overcome these background objects but it can be achieved.

You are correct with the camera settings.

Those pylons must be a real irritation, like the wind farms at Rotterdam.

Always loved these mild telephoto shots I presume 135 to 180mm with 35 mm.
