"Some kind of work-boat" indeed, Derek!

In October 2013 the vessel, still named ANA V, its owner (farmer José Antonio Pinto Guarayote) and its crew were detained 'in flagrante' when a well-established fuel smuggling operation was broken up. The had a fuel store at Pinto's farm 3km away from the river bank, but connected by underground pipe. ANA V had been modified with with additional tanks to carry diesel fuel.

Venezuela flag, Off No ARSK-5329.
Owner: José Antonio Pinto Guarayote

Hi Ted,

The admins do not have access to the information that David seems to be able to find.He is a professional in the field and we are grateful for anything he can guide us on. She does indeed seemed to have ended here fishing days but what is she doing now? There is still a winch on the deck and maybe also gas bottles? is she some kind of work boat perhaps?

best regards
Derek

Hi david
yes,,ok,, according to ADMINS of this web site missing or removed fishing gear does not mean that it is not a fishing vessel anymore or converted to inter island general cargo trader, unless proven otherwise

Indeed Ted. But with all fishing gear and derricks removed, perhaps now used for cargo or as a workboat?

I think that she is IMO 6405678
