Description:
China Navigation Company's 'K' Class were modernised versions of the four 'C' Class ships, all of which were built by Taikoo Dockyard in Hong Kong. Kwangsi was delivered in 1960 and measured 5957 gross tons. In 1971 she was converted to side loading and renamed New Guinea Chief and in 1977 Bangkok Star. Sold to Straits Shipping in 1978 she was renamed Straits Star and was broken up at Singapore in 1985.
