Hello,
Any idea which ship this was ? The slide is dated March 1998. She is one of 4 Hamburg class destroyers as follows:
Hamburg (D181)
Decommissioned 24 February 1994. Scrapped in Spain.
Schleswig-Holstein (D182)
Decommissioned 15 December 1994. Scrapped in Belgium.
Bayern (D183)
Decommissioned 16 December 1993. Scrapped in Denmark.
Hessen (D184)
Decommissioned 29 March 1990. Scrapped in Portugal.
I strongly suspect she is D182, as I think it quite likely she is in Belgium in this photo just about to scrap ? Can any one help with this please ?
