awaiting cutting up with sister Ruys.

She was one of three sisters, the TEGELBERG was the first to broken up at Kaohsiung arriving 14/3/1968.
BOISSEVAIN was next to arrive 14/7/1968 followed by RUYS on the 13/9/1968.
All were built in 1938.

The photo was taken by the purser of the Federal Cargo Liner SUFFOLK on the way to berth after being delivered for cutting up.

Heartbreaking indeed. Yet we traded the bronze propellors afterwards .... a Dutch trading company !

Man, that is heartbreaking to see these two together at the scrapyard! The KJCPL is my favourite Dutch line of the past. Good-looking ships and a sharp livery!

These KPM liners were quite advanced vessels in the late thirties, just prior to war! mrdot.
