Description:

MSC had only very briefly owned MICHELE, ex- KYRA (Kratigos Shipping Co)-83, ex- YAMASHIRO MARU -74 (declared a constructive total loss in 1973, resultant from Arab-Israeli hostilities), built Nagasaki 1963; photographed at Rotterdam in September 1983, she was beached at Alang on 28.11.83 to be broken up.

In October 1964, under her original name "YAMASHIRO MARU", she collided with the East German "MAGDEBURG", loaded with 42 Leyland buses bound for Cuba, at Broadness Point, River Thames.
