Small load and tough to justify the trip up and down the Columbia to Portland considering all of the costs including normal vessel operation plus pilot fees for the Bar and River.

Nice photo, I still remember when this ship was traveling to Valparaiso, about 10 years ago and saw a giant ship, now see how it has changed maritime traffic with much larger vessels..

No flood, however this past week has been the King Tide, and this point on the river is close enough to the mouth to be under the effects of the extreme tides.
