Hi Bob, ok, thanks for that info - wasn't sure if many older, defunct ships 'gained' an IMO from their Lloyds number...but I am glad you have cleared that up...Pity there isn't an alternative way (on SS) to allocate a unique identifying number for older ships...

Rick: 5606875 is a Miramar ID no. The ship was scrapped before the LR/IMO numbering system was started (in 1963/4).

IMO is 5606875.
Miramar shows she arrived at Hong Kong on 08.03/1959 for demolition.
