Description:

Polish Ocean Lines' 1972 Szczecin built ZYGMUNT STARY was photographed passing Rozenburg, inbound for Rotterdam, on 13th September 1975. Her last voyage was to breakers at Alang where she was beached on 8th July 1997.

General cargo vessel serie B445/1/14 , built for Polish Ocean Lines I Szczecin ( Stocznie im.Adolfa Warskiego ), . Launched 14th Dec 1971 .Completed 29th March 1972 .
Polish flag hoisted 08th April 1972 . The same day the vessel commenced the maiden voyage to East African ports . In 1982 m/v ZYGMUNT III WAZA was engaged in rescue operation for the soviet m/trawler ZHELEZNOVODSK ( on Mediterranean - in vicinity of Gibraltar ). In May 1996 the vessel caused serious damage in Alborg - due to colapsing port facility . Sold in 1997 , then broken up.
