built at Werf Gusto at Schiedam, Netherlands; 525-ton, 184 ft. long; launched 22Sep36; commissioned Royal Netherlands Navy 29May37; based in former Neth. East Indies. Following the Battles of the Java Sea and Sunda Strait ordered to withdraw to Australia; After serving for a short period with Australian Navy as HMAS Abraham Crijnssen returned to RNN. Decommissioned 1961 and since 1995 on display at RNN Museum at Den Helder, Netherlands.
