Photographed at anchor in the River Mersey off Birkenhead on 23rd March 1982 (so now almost thirty years ago) is Simbouras Brothers' (Syros Shipping managed) 1962 built ARETI S., built in France as SKYCREST which traded as West Hartlepool's GRANTLEYHALL between 1968 and 1976. Her funnel had been painted black for a single voyage to India on charter to Anchor Line.

ARETI S. was laid up at Piraeus from 25th July 1983 until mid 1984 when, as EURCO WIZARD, she was soon sold for scrap, arriving at Dalian on 12th April 1985
