I really like these shots although sad to see old friends on their final voyage. These are Mayak type side trawlers, built Russia during the 1960s. The Stvor was built 1964, at Zavod "Leninskaya Kuznitsa" - Kiev with yd/no 1221. Loa of 54.23m and 699gt. Registered port Klaipeda, Lithuania. Noted fishing around Shetland on several occasions during the early 1970s. The Stvor referred to by Trascu will, I think, be the later Zhelezhnyakov type stern trawler (54.82m and also built Kiev - 1978), originally named 60 Let VLKSM. The third vsl in (from Stvor)is the Proton, another Mayak type trawler, built Zavod "Leninskaya Kuznitsa" - Kiev, 1966 with yd/no 1265. Loa of 54.23m and 697gt. Registered port Kaliningrad. Hope you have some more shots of these splendid old trawlers. (By the way you don't mention where this picture was taken - I assume Naantali?)
