This was my second ship as Engineer Cadet, joined it at Tilbury in April 1978 when it was brand new. The ship had departed Govan Shipbuilders about three weeks earlier. Had a great trip on there sailed from Europe to the Arabian Gulf and then did the Far East run then back to the Red Sea. 18 of us paid off in Aquaba and got two nights in a hotel on the beach as there weren't too many flights to Amman in those days. Was swimming off the beach as she sailed away. Good people, good days.
