Although British shipping was in serious decline it was refreshing to see two virtually new ships together in port, Buries Markes LA PRIMAVERA was ahead of her.
Completed 1978 the final new cargo liner built for any of the Furness Withy group companies together with a sister Oroya, built 1977. The final cargo ship built for the group was the SD14 Derwent in 1979.
