Clydelink Ltd took over the Strathclyde Passenger Transport tender contract to run the Gourock-Kilcreggan Ferry on 1st April 2012. The chartered brightly coloured Tralee-registered MV Cailin Oir is the second boat on this route , as the first boat , the Lymington-registered Island Princess was taken off roster for re-engine work to be carried out. Cailin Oir roughly translates into English as the 'Golden Girl'
