Ex Royal Navy Leander class frigate HMS Andromeda, transferred to the Indian navy as INS Tarkash in 1995. She was commissioned in May 1967 and had an illustrious history with the RN,serving in the Cod Wars and the Falklands. Is due for decommissioning this year. Alongside on the left,is the Sandhayak class survey ship J19 INS NIRDESHAK. On the right are two Nilgiri class frigates, which were an Indian navy variant of the Leander class. These two, which look to be in the process of decommissioning are possibly F41 INS TARAGIRI nearest the quay, which is listed as currently still in service and alongside,F36 INS DUNAGIRI. Mumbai naval base, April 14th,2012.
