These pictures are a wonderful reminder of just how great it was to spend about 11 days aboard Nordstjernen on her round-trip coastal voyage back in about 1988. I do hope there will be some useful future for her rather than just getting sent off to ship breakers.

Yep, Berekvam, i really really like the place. In a radius of... I dont know, 10 km, there might be 40 people living. I am at peace here. Me and my gt zaskar elite bicykle!
SOME hills, get a lot of training!

Jon: Me too!

Wow, Berekvam. That is really "norway in a nutshell". Nice place, but for me it would be to far away to town... Must be a hard thing to get there in wintertime by car? Even if you could take the rail. I have been to Flaam with my own car and wnt up the valley, but couldn't get that far. Some silly signs... ;-)

Hi Stefan! I live at BEREKVAM, halfway up/down the Flåmsbana. 340 meters above sea-level, and i ride my bike up and down that bloody hill every day. Have lost seven kg in a month!

But it really is heaven for me.

Very cool shot, Tomas. Do you live up there at Otternesvegen or down at the Fjord?
