Hi Robert,
I have posted two articles (16.11.12 & 14.12.12) containing photos of 'Monkleigh' at Appledore - see 'Bideford Buzz' community newsletter (bidefordbuzz.org.uk).

Regards,
Tom.

Hi Bart

She was in Milford Dock on the 13th November (photos to follow) with the small Irish tug NEACHTAIN alongside. The tug is working for Richmond Dry Dock (Ship Dismantlers) at Appledore and they had their company board attached to the MONKLEIGH. I have since read on another website that she has now left Milford en-route to the breakers.

Bob

Hi there,

does anybody know where she ended up? She doesn't seem to be moored in Milford Haven anymore ?

Some rumours say, the Monkleigh was sold earlier this year and delivered to the Mediterraenean, possibly Greece or Turkey?

Anybody got any further insights?

Thanks & all the best

- Bart

I am sure there used to be a Lowestoft trawler called MONKLEIGH. In fact I've just seen that she's on the National Historic Ships Register. Seems plausible - especially given this? http://www.trawlerphotos.co.uk/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=125990&cat=870&title=monkleigh

Thanks Juergen

She is definitely ....ONKLEIGH, the only letters I could see from my viewpoint. Funny enough, davidships caught only these letters in his view of ELKSTONE in Milford.

http://ec.europa.eu/fisheries/fleet/index.cfm?method=Search.DetailSearchSimple&event_key=4828214&search_type=simple&search_id=5954

In Hartlepool total 181 vessel, but one with a similare name.
