Real short lifespan from 1958 till 1974 compared to other ship's build at that period

She is inbound possibly late April or May 1971, as Malcolm Cranfield photographed her outbound 10th May for Lagos still in Brocklebank colours.

Photographed obviously in 1971 shortly after sale by Cunard Group's T & J Brocklebank, whose funnel mark is still being carried. She was built by William Hamilton & Co, Port Glasgow - not Ferguson's

Ironically Clyde this is a scan of a print.

Keith who lives in Wellington has linked his commercial grade copier to his computer, he scans the print and I crop and clean it up for posting.

We did a test with a 6 x 7 inch neg and a print off the same and could hardly tell the difference, plus it is much less time consuming.

Beautifully clear detail Chris! That must have taken some time to achieve. I suppose it is also a measure of the quality of the source image.
