Description:

"Hebron Sea" IMO: 7403471 arrived the 16-06-2012 to Grenaa Harbour from Canada under tow by the Icelandic coast guard vessel "Tyr" IMO: 7358420, and will be scrapped at Fornaes Shipbreaking Ltd.

On arrival was one of two main engines separated.

Hi Steve, yes I always think it is sad to see ships being scrapped, but also thinks it's okay to perpetuate their last trip.
I see many fine and well-maintained ships are being scrapped because there is enough work for them.

I think "Hebron Sea" had done her duty, the one main engine was separated and she had not been at sea for the last few years.

Another interesting vessel at the gates of oblivion. Always sad to see what appears a perfectly good ship going under the gas-axe. It's the reality of economics I guess.
