Hello roar,
our ship, COSTA PACIFICA will be berthed where CARIBBEAN PRINCESS is berthed at this photo? ;-) Not every ship can dock at a pier, as we see in this photo! :-) |

Many thanks Clyde, Knut Helge, Thomas and Max.
"Hurtigrutekaia", or The Hurtigruten Pier is right behind THOMPSON SPIRIT. The hurtigruten ships is normally berthed at the south end of that pier. We won't see CARIBBEAN PRINCESS until next year. Best regards, Roar. |

| Excellent Roar! Where does the daily Hurtigruten ship berth when there is a group like this already there? My wife and I were the type of passengers who preferred to see the city and the people rather than take a bus ride to the Russian border. |

Yes, Mr. Dot, but this little hamlet is used handle even more ships. Together the 3 ships have a capacity of more than 6000 passengers. Kind regards, Roar. |

| this is quite the collection of vessels for this modest hamlet to handle! mrdot. |

Thanks, Knut Helge.
Not quite right, Cornelia, as Phil pointed out, here they are bussed to The North Cape, that's the goal, but many passengers goes shopping and take photos. At a day with 3 big liners, the population is more than tripled. Best regards, Roar. |
| Phil English on Jun 26, 2012 15:13 (11 months ago) |
| Not quite true Cornelia. Many passengers are bussed to various locations in the surrounding area and do not necessarily come into contact with one another. |

Interesting photo. The people onboard the ships expecting true untouched Norwegian place but all what they find is more fellow tourists in a small norwegian village ? :-)
