| Hello, I agree with Mr Givisis that this must be the "Epirus 4", which ended up in Iran and was scrapped in 2001. Both ferries were ex Japanese, and the funnels looks identical on the two. I guess the "Katsuura" and "Shirahama" were sisterships from Japan that ended up as sisterships also in Greece as "Epirus 4" and "Epirus V". The picture is not very clear, but it seems more like "Epirus 4" than "Epirus V". Maybe Mr Givisis know more of the history of the 2 ships ? |

History : 72 - 77 : "Shirahama", Shinki Ferry KK, Japan, 77 - 82 : "Epirus V", Epirus Line, Greece, 82 - 86 : "Chrissi Ammos III", Grammai Ipirou, Andros, Greece, 86 - 87 : "Accorn I", Accorn Shipping, Limassol, Cyprus, 87 - 88 : "Thira II", Nomicos Lines, Greece, 88 - 94 : "Hellas Express", Nomicos Lines, Greece, 94 - 07 : "Agios Spiridon", Kerkyra Lines, Greece, 07 - 11 : "Lider Clipper", Asya Lines, Turkey. Arrived in Aliaga, Turkey in March 2011 for scrapping. Regards, Alf Reitan. |

| Her name in photo is EPIRUS 4 (not SIRIUS). IMO 7225427. |
