I've always thought that the Angelina Lauro was one of the most beautiful ships I have ever seen. However the similar style of rework just doesn't seem to have had the same effect on the Achille. Whenever I look at her I always think that the bow looks as though it is at the wrong end. My conclusion has been that they accidentally put the funnels on backwards when doing the conversion and hoped no one would notice. To test my theory I photo edited a shot of her and swapped them round. She doesn't look great with them swapped but she certainly doesn't look strange any more.
Regards,
Dave

I don't agree with this usual being phrase of a comment!
Nevertheless, this ship ACHILLE LAURO encountered much-much later a terrorist attack on board, when all passengers were kept as hostage, and sad to say one old American passenger was killed as a warning.
That event was altogether terrible; the world news papers where following it almost one month!
