Description:
At the risk of being boring, this was the first photo I took when the ST London Tradition was being overhauled by the Auckland Star off the Portuguese coast in early 1966. Abeam of us she looks more elegant than she did as she left us astern. So long ago and still a delight to see.

I agree with Tony, lovely shot. My current shots of vessels underway by comparison are boring as the ships themselves don't have so much character or grace. It was seeing the Auckland Star in the Marlborough Sounds inward bound to Picton, New Zealand on a glorious Sunday morning that pretty much cemented my decision to go to sea.
