This rather ugly vessel offers cruises on the U.S. portion of Lake Memphremagog, only about 5 miles of the 26 mile lake. This vessel is a far cry from the steamboats that plied both Vermont and Quebec portions of Lake Memphremagog from the 1800's to the 1960's. The Newport Belle is ugly enough I would hope that it would solicit a comment on its ugliness from Mr DOT! |
