The answer to your query is a very simple one Sulzer; the upper three decks are passenger de-luxe cabins and they probably cost at least 2,000 Euro for a one week cruising.

Puah, what are the three upper decks, a SILOS for the PASSENGER'S CARS???

BTW: Costa itself merchandises the ship as 'Neo': http://www.costacruises.co.uk/gb/ships.html

Moin Andi,
schönes farb- und kontrastreiches Bild. Das stimmt alles. Sehr schön!

Thanx for sharing this one with us!

Costa ships look much better sitting up than they do laying their side!

Very dramatic with the dark clouds and white hull offering superb contrast; great shot.

Something more specific and an "unbelievable" feature of this cruiser, the three (3) funnels stacked all in one place!!!

That's very ugly, but at least her forehead isn't leaning forwards!

Some people do not very much like the specific look of this "older" Costa Crociere cruiser, but she is absolutely OK to join a cruise.
On this very pic her appearance is "eye catching" and very well being also.
You made a good shot Andreas!

Yes ,the NEO part of the name is faint painted,as Patalgualino said... time ago: http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=1567650#comments

Ooops....Forgot to mention that I quite like the photo, a stark white subject under a threatening dark sky. Very dramatic.
Thanks Andreas. Regards.

Surely the point of having the name of the ship painted on the bows & stern is so that it can EASILY be identified? Why invite confusion & doubt?
Just what is the point of "faintly" painting part of the name....???
I remember the discussion from months ago....And it's still as clear as mud.
Regards.

No it is not. Even in this photo you can see (faintly)the letters 'neo' between Costa and Romantica.

...but at the bow it´s still COSTA ROMANTICA.... ;-)

Hello Andreas, nice photo! - "Moored in Hamburg - it is summer!"... Well, don't you know the four seasons here at Hamburg? They are spring - cancelled - autumn and winter!:-D

And why do we all call her Costa NEOromantica? Have a look at the full screen photo here: http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=1606463#.
She had been renamed during (or after) her refit.

Kind regards
Jens
