A true classical beauty....Thanks for posting.
Although there are still a few Cargo-Passenger ships out there, (The only form of "cruise" I would consider) few of them can match these 'Port' classics. Thanks again: Regards, Steve. |

| Ralph: This ship on the photo was of a pure "trading much good design look" reefer/general cargo vessel for "around world" service and carried on board only 12 passengers ( a max. number of passengers that was limited by the regulations of those days for a cargo vessel; beyond that number of passengers any ship must have entered into a passenger liner category with much more strict requirements). |

Another top great pic from you Chris, ty !!
Really a superb appearance of her, how beautiful she was then, and all that is following her are the best remarks for this much good looking and well appreciated cargo/12 passenger liner of those days. Several info about her if anybody is interested: PORT BRISBANE & sister PORT AUCKLAND (G.B), PORT LINE , Hull grey, GRT 11,900 tons , dimensions 538 x 70 ft ; Motor vessel , 2 screws, 17 knots, built Hawthorn Leslie, 1949; 12 passengers ; 535,000 cub.ft refrigerated space; on route London - Australia and New York. | Your right Clive, though her sister Port Auckland was my favourite with her slightly different rounded funnel. |

| Without any shadow of doubt this is the very best photo that I have ever seen of this very beautiful ship. Fantastic! |
