Built 1972 as Japanese ro-ro passenger ferry ARKAS. 1987 IONIAN GALAXY (Strintzis Lines, Greece), refurbished for Adriatic service between Greece and Italy. 2000 BLUE GALAXY (after rebranding of Strintzis Lines as Blue Ferries). 2001 ÇESME 2 (charter with Marmara Lines, Italy- Turkey route). 2003 MERDIF 2 (Marco Shipping, Panama flag, route Dubai-Iraq). 2/2011 broken up at Alang, India.
