Thanks for your comments John. I would guess she had loaded grain as there are not many other export cargoes loaded in Ipswich.
As you can see I am getting round to scanning some of my slides now. I have started with about 250 slides from Ipswich which I have show as a slide show at branches of the WSS.

Striking study of both the ship and the Orwell Bridge Derek. She looks to be laden to the absolute maximum judging by her plimsoll mark, and squatting down a bit below the load line by the stern it would seem.
