TY Clyde every one, I just like to do the best I can to bring some of these girls back to life. I got a few more I am working on, hopefully there will be more that will get a buzz from them like that old dutch lady friend of yours. I am glad it reminded her of some good times in her youth, thanks Clyde and every one else, you are a blessing!

Excellent, excellent! She completed in 1928 by the way. Sadly torpedoed and sunk on 11/11/'42 with the loss of 15 lives. Sister NIEUW HOLLAND survived till 1959.

Advertised in her day by KPM as one of it's "GREAT WHITE YACHTS". I showed this photo to a Dutch lady - born 1915 in Indonesia - and it brought tears to her eyes as she recalled her family's association with these ships in the 1930s. A (fantastic quality) photo of a remarkable era.
