Description:

The 1954 Cammell Laird, Birkenhead, built KASTRO K., the former IRIS (ex DORIS), owned by G.Kollias, is here seen in the River Elbe off Cuxhaven, outbound from Hamburg on 16th April 1982 bound for India.

She suffered engine trouble en route, putting into Piraeus on 28th April, sailing on 11th May but getting no further than Port Said, putting back to Piraeus Roads on 30th July and arrested at Piraeus on 15th September.

As STEPON she made a loaded voyage to Port Sudan early in 1984 before arriving at Gadani Beach on 25.5.84 to be broken up.
