_ Armaments | | Description: | | The HMCS VILLE DE QUÉBEC FFH332 armament consists in 1 x 57mm Bofors Model Mk 2 gun; 24 MK46 mod 5A Honeywell torpedos; 16 Evolved Sea-Sparrow SAM which are surface-air Sea Sparrow vertical launch missiles; 8 RGM-84 Harpoon SSM which are surface-surface Harpoon missiles; 1 Close-in weapons system (CIWS) Vulcan Phalanx 20 mm MK15; and 6 × .50 Caliber machine guns on board. The 57mm Bofors Model Mk 2 dual-purpose automatic gun shown on this photo is located on the FFH332 main deck. This ship, one of 12 Canadian-built Halifax Class frigate in the Royal Canadian Navy and one of seven frigates belonging to Canada's East Coast Fleet based out of Halifax, was seen at Quebec Harbour on July 27, 2012. In addition, she has an helicopter pad and could carry either a CH-124 SeaKing or a CH-148 Cyclone. |
