| Agreed that the LCS is at the upper end of the range for what normally would be called a corvette, but it does not meet the capabilities of a frigate. Corvettes are generally considered as coastal duty vessels with a hull form not suitable for open ocean duty, have limited armament and lack of range. The LCS seems to meet all of these criteria. |

Definatley not a Corvette, she's to big for that.
She's actually a littoral combat ship (LCS), specifically made to operate in the "littoral zone"(close to shore) |
