Chris, you & Gordy are my favourite posters of these classics from 'down under' Absolutely stunning photos of when ships-were-ships & were crewed by people who took pride in their work.
When ships were not regarded as non-returnable bottles.....Today they harp on about being "green".... yet scrap ships still in their prime just to build a replacement? How "Green" is that then? These ships lasted 30 or more years.... But all you hear is "Not green! Scrap it!!" The process's involved in replacing many such ships causes far more pollution than their continued use. We have really lost the plot I think.(But we don't do politics here, do we?) Anyway, keep these delights coming..... Best Regards, Steve. |

| I agree. When I worked for Brocklebanks I saw Wilhelmsen's vessels from time to time and they always looked immaculate. Thanks Chris. |
