This morning I came across an ancient movie on YouTube documenting the construction of the Oriana. Well worth a watch for anyone interested in her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKhPF2uJ5Wo

Oriana to mind mind was the ultimate evolution of the British liner and this shot is very special as there are few good images of her with the corn coloured hull.

Great shot of how she was originally built.

David, please don't worry, there are those of us who think that she was the finest British-built liner ever.

Oh this is so embarrassing! I've always thought the Oriana looked a bit weird. I see this photo as more of a four of clubs up my sleeve rather than an ace. I'm glad you all like it though.

Mr.Dot: We are like-minded...Just Class...? Clive has it right too: A rare photo of a classic. Dave, you kept this ace up your sleeve ......Nice.
I'm sure I have a photo of Oriana at Kaoshiung. Thanks you all.

Yes and I think that this is one of the best photos that I have seen of the ship in her original livery. Quite splendid.
