Great photo Louis. Well said Avery; I am with you & Ralf on your sentiments. I consider this to be a fine example of a contemporary Ropax vessel: 'anything' is better than stagnant design principles!
Regards, Rick

The greatest crime is to be uninteresting...to me "ugly" and "beautiful" are irrelevant as far as ships are concerned, I'd rather be looking at an "ugly" design that is also interesting then a "beautiful" design that is also boring.

I agree with Ralf that she is anyhow a very interesting ROPAX and my best remarks for her exclusivity look.

Hi Patagualino,
Napoléon Bonaparte goes to Elba once by year, in may.

Whether vessels are good-looking or downright, or in between, they are always interesting. So this is a..shall we say..."interesting" ship ;-)
Patagualino on Aug 19, 2012 23:15 (9 months ago)
Is it en-route to Elba? Bit late I'm afraid.

Hi Denis....somehow...somehow...I just knew it was you when I read the home page: "....Unbearably Ugly...." Cheers mate! We share a similar taste in what we like to see in a ships looks.....
But I'm intrigued....how does being a ferry exonerate ugliness? Anything that floats on the water has an onus to be beautiful..... or "adequate looking" at least....
In this particular case.....well, I've seen far...far uglier examples of 'things that float'!
These STX designs of late....I'm beginning to appreciate the 'beauty of functionality', I can see them in heavy seas...coping quite well with nature.
Nah! Come on Denis, as ferries go...this is nowhere near "Ugly" Not beautiful I'll grant. But, be fair, not too ugly either!
(As for those floating cattle trucks that masquerade as passenger vessels.......)
Dеnis on Aug 19, 2012 21:17 (9 months ago)
That's just unbearably ugly... but she has an excuse she's a ferry.
