Prior to being scrapped at Port Colborne, this ship was scheduled to be scrapped in Ashatbula, OH. dismantling was started, but was stopped by the EPA. I was lucky enough to have purchased all of the beautiful oak paneling in the captain's quarters, as well as in the officer's dining area. Over a period of years, this paneling was installed in the main office building of my business in Canfield, OH. I posted some known history of the McCurdy on the wall above the panels. In addition to this, we have much other antique oak decor - at least 30 oak filing cabinets, oak desks (some roll-top) and an old back bar from a 1920s barber shop. Lights in the hallway are solid bronze from the Cleveland RR Station. I am looking for more info on the McCurdy. Fritz: fzoldcars at comcast dot net

Great shot! Can see the Arthur B Homer's pilothouse just to the left of her stern.
