My late father served on this vessel from June 1940 to June 1942 according to his merchant seamans log which I have. I know he crossed the atlantic many times during the u boat crisis, and I'd love to learn more about what this vessel encountered during those years.

Yes, that was a very tragic event Mr Dot...I attended our Merchant Navy day on Monday, we put wreaths down at our memorial and had a small service for those who lost their lives at sea and during wartime...ty
