Beautiful photo; thank you for sharing! However, theses photos of nice Juglinija ships make sad many of us who remember good days of one of world's finest liner companies. Those days are gone; Jugolinija is gone, nice liners are gone... Good example of how wrong management can destroy something what generations were building up.

Daniel, the blueprints are the same but the yards are different! RIJEKA and ZADAR were built by 'De Merwede' at Hardinxveld and PULA by Werf de Noord at Alblasserdam.
But you are right regarding Oranje sisterships! 'De Merwede' built PRINS ALEXANDER in 1947 and PRINS JOHAN WILLEM FRISO in 1948. Yugoslavian vessels were three sisters more. Brgds Sub

Thank you for the correction submariner. I must conclude that these cargo vessels were all built using the same blueprints and at the same shipyard. Can somebody show us photos of the Oranje sisterships?

Sorry Daniel! RIJEKA and her sisterships PULA and ZADAR were built in 1950 by Dutch shipyards on the direct order of Yugoslavian Government for state shipping company Jugolinija. Brgds
