Thanks Knut Helge. Every one on the Bridge but me was heading for work. It was a good early start to a delightful spring day.

Thank you all. The sad event was 24 hours late! She did not leave Gore Cove as scheduled the day before even though the tugs had assembled. So I had to twice withstand the scrutiny of security guards doing their job.

This is quite the spot to capture any vessel, the harbour and opera house add much to the composition! mrdot.

Hello All
It seems with all the closuras of refineries, that if anything happens we will be hung up to dry or pay even higher prices.

Best Regards
Adrian

A lovely photo Clyde. Sadly, it seems that refineries are closing everywhere. The Coryton refinery on the Thames closed a month or so ago due to the bankruptcy of it's parent owner. It's very unlikely that we'll see crude tankers on the Thames again and I guess it's the same for you guys in Sydney. Very sad.

A sad day Clyde.

Crude has been passing under the bridge for a very long time. The bridge has also been the vantage point for many, many notable pics of crude oil carriers over the years, heading up to Gore Bay. Interesting times ahead with Kurnell Refinery also closing down............

I was on the footpath near the north east pylon of the Bridge, above the junction of land and water. See the Google Earth reference. Thank you for your comments.
