Bob, It appears the boat i was on yesterday has AURORA and no clipper. How odd. I have never really noticed this before , Hurricane has clipper, so does Cyclone. Strange now that 2 have the bigger names. Im going to scan the whole fleet and email the office and ask about it. I can't see it being changed now though :) http://www.flickr.com/photos/ajbc-photos/7189141949/sizes/k/in/photostream/

Hi Ben,

Thanks for confirming the name, I first noticed it a couple of months ago an wondered if she had changed her name. Looking forward to the official reason :-))

Bob

Thats a very interesting point you make there Robert. Im wondering if thats a bit of a mistake on the vinyl peoples part and nobody has noticed. I was on Hurricane Clipper yesterday and if you look at this photo found on flickr taken yesterday, she shows the full name. I will point the Meteors vinyl out to the office, see if they are aware. But she is still correctly Meteor Clipper :)

Couldn't agree with you more Ben, when she came down on Nov 9th 2009 we were waiting for a heavy lift or tug to tow her away but nothing has happened.
It is the same with the Ross Revenge (Radio Caroline)now classified as a hulk, she has been in the dock since Apr 27th 2005, if you remember she laid on the top end of the Stage for some time.

Ken

Good point Bob, I wondered that myself, but decided to err on the side of caution

Is she still called METEOR CLIPPER, I notice that she only displays the name METEOR now?

On the way back from Chatham drydock , my cousin sat in the window seat in the wheelhouse. Interesting you can see Queen Mary in tilbury behind. I wish someone would do something with her. SUch a shame after we towed her away thinking positive things would come from it and shes just sat there.
